Research Interest

In my research, I focus on the function fo the insular cortex in pain and sleep; as well as the differences between pain-induced sleep deprivation and primary sleep deprivation in terms of behavioral manifestations, sleep architecture, and the underlying neural circuits and molecular mechanisms.
